Ok. I did a thing. I rarely get a chance to visit home, but when I do I always have to stop at Bay Seafood- another Norfolk Staple that been around for years. Best fried crabs in the 757 in my humble opinion. The batter is the best. I remember a long time ago I asked the older lady who runs the place for some hot sauce and she said " you don't need any." At first I was bothered by her comment, but realized she was telling the truth. Haha. Also try the crab rolls and crab batter dipped shrimp- Yum. It's strictly takeout, and made to order.

While on a visit to town, I tried the fabled fried crab. Being a native Baltimorean, I could've fathom thought of the logistic that went into this. We have steamed md crabs and soft shell crab but, none fried. I was pleasantly surprised. The batter was savory, crunchy and delicious. My fave area to eat was the claw area. You got the meat and a taste of the batter together without shell. While here, I also tried the fried scallops and crab meat egg rolls. The scallops were fresh and tasty but, the egg rolls were a little disappointing. Not the taste but, how small they were. They reminded me more of taquitos than egg rolls. Note to the owner, you can expand the size and use a lil more crab meat. In all my visit was delightfully tasty. Note: The line can be a bit intimidating but, it goes fast. Also bring a hand fan on warm days
